Chapter 5 - The Brother Who Finally Listened
Three weeks later, the Moretti Foundation announced a different plan.
The theater would not be sold.
It would be renovated.
Expanded.
Reopened as a center for art, education, and accessibility.
And Sofia would lead the project.
The announcement shocked many people.
Because everyone expected Adrian Moretti to control everything.
Instead, he stood beside his sister.
And let her speak.
Through an interpreter.
But this time, the interpreter was not speaking for her.
Only translating her words.
After the announcement, reporters surrounded Adrian.
“Mr. Moretti, why allow your sister to lead such a major project?”
A reporter asked.
The old Adrian would have answered immediately.
But he stopped.
He looked at Sofia.
She nodded.
Then he smiled slightly.
“Because it is hers.”
The reporter looked confused.
“But you are the head of the family.”
Adrian looked back.
“I am her brother.”
That answer appeared in newspapers the next day.
Not because of his power.
Because of his change.

Lily continued working at the hotel.
She refused every offer Adrian made.
A private assistant position.
A foundation job.
A higher salary.
Everything.
Finally, Adrian asked her why.
They stood outside the hotel after her shift.
“You helped my family,” he said.
Lily smiled.
“I helped Sofia.”
“You know most people would have taken the offer.”
“Most people would have ignored her.”
Adrian looked at her.
“You really do not care who I am.”
Lily laughed softly.
“I know exactly who you are.”
“And?”
“And I think you are a man who spent years protecting someone without realizing she was already strong.”
Adrian had no response.
