The rumors about Vincent Calder changed.
People still respected him.
They still feared his name.
But now they saw something else.
A man.
Not a monster.
Sarah’s mother received the medical treatment she needed.
Vincent quietly paid the remaining costs.
When Sarah discovered it, she confronted him.
“You can’t keep solving everything with money.”
Vincent smiled slightly.
“I’m still learning.”
“That’s new.”
“What?”
“Admitting you’re learning.”
He looked at her.
“You changed this house.”
Sarah smiled.
“No.”
She looked at Lily playing in the garden.
“She did.”

Not as an enemy.
Not as a brother completely healed.
But as someone finally willing to stop running from the past.
Before leaving, he spoke privately with Vincent.
“You really love them.”
Vincent nodded.
“Yes.”
Adrian smiled sadly.
“Then don’t lose them.”
