Chapter 6 - The Choice That Changed Everything

Rafael returned three days later.
Not with threats.
With the truth.
He entered the Castellano office carrying old documents.
Marco immediately reached for security.
But Ivy stopped him.
“Wait.”
Rafael looked at her.
“I owe your family an apology.”
Marco stared.
“You betrayed us.”
“Yes.”
“Why?”
Rafael placed the documents down.
“Because Vincent controlled me.”
He explained.
After his father died, Vincent discovered Rafael was his son.
He raised him with one purpose.
Destroy the Castellanos.
But Rafael never expected Ivy.
He never expected someone who had nothing to still choose honesty.
“I thought everyone had a price,” Rafael admitted.
Ivy looked at him.
“And now?”
“Now I know I was wrong.”
The documents proved everything.
The stolen money.
The false accusations.
The original partnership agreement.
Daniel Sinclair’s innocence.
Everything.
Marco looked at Ivy.
“This clears your father.”
She smiled sadly.
“My father spent twenty years thinking he failed.”
Marco answered quietly:
“He didn’t.”
---
The final confrontation happened in the Castellano mansion.
Vincent’s son arrived believing he still controlled the situation.
He didn't know the truth was already exposed.
Marco stood in the entrance hall.
“You lost.”
The man laughed.
“You think paperwork changes anything?”
Marco looked calm.
“No.”
He glanced at Ivy.
“People do.”
Ivy stepped forward.
For years, she had been invisible.
A maid.
Someone people walked past.
But now everyone listened.
“My father spent his life carrying your lies.”
She held the original agreement.
“You stole his future.”
The man smiled.
“You think this makes you powerful?”
Ivy shook her head.
“No.”
She looked at Marco.
May you like
“Knowing the truth does.”
