Chapter 7 - A New Family Begins

One year later, the Moretti mansion felt different.

The silence was gone.

Laughter filled the halls.

Isabella ran through the garden.

Her voice echoed everywhere.

“Ellie, wait!”

The little girl turned around laughing.

“You’re too slow!”

Claire watched them from the patio.

She smiled.

A year ago, she never imagined this family would heal.

Vincent walked beside her.

“He changed.”

Claire looked at him.

“Who?”

Vincent watched his daughter.

“Me.”

She smiled.

“That’s true.”

Vincent looked toward the garden.

“I spent my whole life building something people feared.”

A pause.

“But my daughter taught me the only thing that matters.”

“What?”

He smiled.

“Being someone she feels safe with.”

---

That evening, Vincent opened Sofia’s old music box.

The melody played perfectly.

Not broken.

Not frightening.

Just a song.

A memory.

A reminder that love could survive even the darkest moments.

Isabella walked over.

“Daddy?”

Vincent looked down.

“Yes?”

She smiled.

“I’m not scared anymore.”

Vincent knelt beside her.

“I know.”

She hugged him.

And for the first time since Sofia’s death…

the Moretti family felt whole again.

Because sometimes the person who saves a family is not the strongest.

Not the richest.

Not the most powerful.

Sometimes…

May you like

it is a little girl with a broken voice…

and the courage to finally tell the truth.
